I am most intrigued by the 2 butterflies on this picture as they depict what Malaysian batik stands for – liveliness, beauty and elegance. Butterflies, often used as motifs for Malaysian batik, also symbolize the magnificence and high flying spirit of the people of Malaysia, in line with ‘Malaysia Boleh!’
As you can see here, the artisan has used unique stripes of colours – with dots and lines to add colour and life to the butterflies.
